Very low water pressure could cause contamination
HIGHLAND PARK, Mich. – A boil water advisory has been issued for everyone in Highland Park due to very low water pressure.
The alert to residents went out after 10 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2025. Officials said very low water pressure in the distribution system could allow contamination to enter the water supply.

City officials said residents should not drink tap water without boiling it first. Water should be boiled for one minute and then cooled before using.

If you use a lead-reducing filter you should filter the water before boiling and replace the filter cartridge after the advisory is lifted.
A timeline for when officials estimate the boil water advisory will be lifted was not provided.
