Kennedy Nzechukwu is out of his fight against Martin Buday this weekend.
This Saturday, Nzechukwu was supposed to face Buday in a main card bout at UFC Vegas 105, however, on Thursday, the UFC announced that Nzechukwu was removed from the bout. Instead, Buday now faces the undefeated Uran Satybaldiev in a heavyweight bout. No reason was given for Nzechukwu’s removal from the card.
Satybaldiev is currently the LFA light heavyweight champion. He won an interim title in 2024 with a fourth-round stoppage of Bruno Assis, and then claimed the undisputed title just a month ago, submitting Leon Soares with a kimura in the third round to move to 9-0 in his professional career.
Buday joined the UFC in 2021 off of the Contender Series and has been very successful, amassing an overall record of 5-1 in the promotion. Most recently, Buday won a split decision over former heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski at UFC 303 in what would be the final fight of Arlovski’s UFC career.
