Neighbors: Homicide involved adult son, mother
ST. CLAIR SHORES, Mich. – Police are investigating a homicide that took place Saturday at a multi-family home in St. Clair Shores.
It happened just after noon on April 5 in the area of Roy Street and 11 Mile.
Police say a male resident was arrested after a female resident was found dead in the home.
According to police, she died of unnatural causes.
Police say there was an altercation.
Neighbors tell Local 4 it was an adult son who killed his mother.
Both the mother and son lived at the home together, according to neighbors.
“We tried to get him out of that condo because we knew he was trouble,” a neighbor who wished to remain anonymous, said.
The neighbor said the son had a history of altercations with his mother and other neighbors.
The man arrested is being held at the Macomb County Jail.
The case will be reviewed by the Macomb County prosecutor.
