Saturday highs in upper 50s; Sunday highs in upper 40s
4Warn Weather – A Flood Warning will continue for the North Branch of the Clinton River, near Mt. Clemens, in Macomb County until 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
Moderate flooding was occurring on Friday. On Friday morning, the stage was 16.5 feet, which is above the flood stage of 15 feet.
A Flood Warning will be in effect for the River Raisin in Lenawee and Monroe counties until further notice. Minor flooding was occurring near Blissfield on Friday.
Record rainfall of one-and-a-half to nearly three inches fell from Wednesday through early Thursday morning. Many rivers remain elevated, and the ground is saturated in many places.
More rainfall this weekend could lead to additional flooding in Southeast Michigan.

Be prepared for rain showers that will move into Metro Detroit from the southwest during the evening hours. The rainy evening and night will be accompanied by temperatures in the 40s.
Friday night will be cloudy with rain showers. Temperatures will fall to the lower 40s in Metro Detroit and all of Southeast Michigan south of I-69. Lows will be in the upper 30s north of I-69. Winds will be out of the east at 5 to 15 mph.
Saturday
The chance of rain will stick around for Saturday, but the best chance will be in the morning and early afternoon. Highs will be in the mid-50s. Winds will be out of the north-northeast at 5 to 15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.
Saturday night will be cloudy with the chance of a few rain showers. The low will be in the 30 to 35 degree range in most of Southeast Michigan.
The greatest rain totals from Friday night through Saturday could reach one inch, particularly south of I-94.
Sunday
A stray shower will be possible Sunday morning. Otherwise, expect a mixture of sunshine and clouds. Highs will range from the mid-40s in the Thumb to near 50 degrees in Detroit.
Much of Metro Detroit will see temperatures peak in the upper 40s. Nighttime temperatures will fall to around 30 degrees.
Monday
A low-pressure system will move across the Great Lakes on Monday. Rain and snow showers will be possible from the morning through the evening.
Highs will be in the mid to upper 40s in Metro Detroit, but it will only be in the lower 40s in the Thumb.
Rain and snow showers will taper off Monday evening. Nighttime skies will be mostly cloudy with the chance of flurries. Lows will fall to the lower to mid-20s.
Tuesday
A cool Tuesday will bring a mixture of sunshine and clouds. A couple of lake-effect snow showers will be possible.
Highs will be around 40 degrees. Nighttime temperatures will fall to the mid-20s.
Wednesday
Wednesday’s temperatures will return to around 50 degrees, with partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies.
Thursday and Friday
Plan for chances of rain on Thursday and Friday.

Metro Detroit’s average highs are in the mid-50s, and average lows are in the mid-30s, for the forecast period.
The average last freeze for Metro Detroit is in late April, while it is early May for Flint. Many gardeners wait until after Mother’s Day to plant sensitive plants and flowers.
