What we know about fiery house explosion in Wayne County
At least two people were injured in a house explosion in Southgate early Thursday morning.
Firefighters and police responded to the area of Edison and Burns Street at around 5:45 a.m. on April 3 for a report of a house explosion.
When they arrived, they saw a home engulfed in flames with debris surrounding the home. There was also another home on fire from the explosion. The impact also caused some homes’ windows to break.

President Donald Trump announced new tariffs on Wednesday, including a 10% baseline tax on imports from all countries, and higher tax rates for dozens of nations.
The president invited Brian Pannebecker, a retired autoworker from Macomb County, to speak during the news conference.
“He understands this business a lot better than the economists, a lot better than anybody. Brian, say a few words, please,” Trump said.
