Submission Terms & Conditions

By submitting any content (including stories, articles, commentary, media, or other materials) to Cave News Times (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you (“Contributor” or “you”) agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years of age, or
• A minor with verifiable parental or guardian consent.

Submissions that fail to meet this requirement will be rejected or removed.

2. Original Work & Copyright

You certify that your submission is original, created by you, and does not infringe upon the rights of any third party.

You must not submit content that includes:

• Plagiarized work
• Copyrighted material without permission
• Content owned by another publication

If you include quotes, images, or references from others, proper attribution is required.

3. Grant of License

By submitting your work, you grant Cave News Times a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, and perpetual license to:

• Publish, distribute, edit, modify, display, and archive your submission
• Share the content across our website, newsletters, and social media
• Retain the right to keep it publicly accessible, even after removal from the front page

You retain full ownership of your work and are free to publish it elsewhere unless agreed otherwise in writing.

4. Editorial Rights

We reserve the right to:

• Edit submissions for grammar, length, clarity, formatting, tone, and legal compliance
• Reject any submission without explanation
• Decline to publish content that contains hate speech, defamation, misinformation, spam, or unethical material

We are not obligated to publish all submissions and do not guarantee publication or response.

5. No Compensation

Unless explicitly stated in a separate written agreement, all submissions are considered voluntary and unpaid. No monetary compensation will be provided for contributions.

6. Liability & Indemnification

You agree to assume full legal responsibility for your submission, including:

• Accuracy of all statements, claims, or representations made
• Ownership of all content (including images, quotes, or data)

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cave News Times, its editors, staff, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or legal actions resulting from your submission, including but not limited to:

• Copyright infringement
• Defamation
• Invasion of privacy
• Violations of local, state (Michigan), or federal law

7. Privacy

Your email address and personal information will be used only for communication regarding your submission unless you give permission otherwise. We will not share or sell your information.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Michigan, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

9. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updates will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
