– Trick Williams doesn’t want to hear anything from Je’Von Evans. Je’Von didn’t appreciate how Trick tossed him to the side last week. Trick says that Je’Von still doesn’t get it. Just because they’re from the Carolina’s, doesn’t mean that they’re brothers. Trick sole focus has been on Stand & Deliver and Oba Femi. If Trick has been so focused on Oba for the last four months, why did it take Je’Von one week to drop him? Je’Von says that Trick can continue to doubt him, but he’s going to shock him. Trick knows that Je’Von has potential. It’s one thing to have potential, it’s another thing to have the title, and everybody can’t hold that title up in the air. Je’Von thought him and Trick were cool, but that NXT Championship has made Trick turn into somebody else. Trick says that it’s a championship thing, Je’Von wouldn’t understand that. Je’Von plans to show Trick otherwise by the end of the night.
– CM Punk will be the very first guest on Stephanie’s Places that’s premiering tomorrow on ESPN Plus.
– Lash Legend tells AVA that she’s not happy that Gigi Dolin & Tatum Paxley are getting a shot at the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Titles, when it should be The Meta Girls. Gigi says that maybe AVA is getting tired of giving The Meta Girls title opportunities. Tatum says they’re going to bring those TNA Knockouts Tag Team Titles back to NXT. Jakara Jackson blames Dolin and Paxley for stealing their tag title opportunity. Tensions continue to rise, and we’re bound to see a match between both teams.
Ricky Saints Interview
Vic Joseph: Ricky Saints, I have been waiting for this moment to sit-down with you since you’ve arrived a little over a month ago. Last Tuesday, you had your first singles win, I mean, so many big moments, but some in the locker room has been saying that you don’t belong here. Tensions are high, Stand & Deliver season, is that white noise or are you able to use that as motivation?
Ricky Saints: It’s a little bit of both. I think it’s funny, because there are superstars back there in that locker room that had a head start on me. And it wasn’t until I showed up that they decided to up their game. I think you and the WWE Universe are quickly finding out just how confident I am as a performer. Confidence scares people, you know that Vic. So that’s what I’ve been dealing with all whole life. So, coming here was nothing new, nothing different.
Vic Joseph: Where do you find that inner self confidence?
Ricky Saints: You know, Vic, when I first broke into wrestling, I was living in my car. And there were times where I didn’t know how I was going to eat that weekend. There were times where I didn’t have money to buy clothes. But at the end of those days, the only thing that I actually had was my self-confidence, the confidence in the fact that I knew I was going to get out of this situation, and it would all work out. And that’s the reason why I’m sitting here with you, right now. Reason why I’m here at NXT, in WWE, because of my self-confidence. I wear scars and battle wounds as pride.
Vic Joseph: Shawn?
Shawn Spears: I’ll take it from here.
Vic Joseph: Shawn, I’m trying to conduct an interview with Ricky.
Shawn Spears: Leave. Relax, I’m just going to sit-down, please. We’ve known each other for a long time, haven’t we, Rick?
Ricky Saints: Too long, too long.
Shawn Spears: Yeah, so why don’t you think that I didn’t ask you to be in The Culling?
Ricky Saints: Because you knew I would tell you no.
Shawn Spears: That’s what I thought. No, remember the conversation in Philly, the one not too long ago, actually. How many times Ricky did I have to talk you off a metaphorical ledge, times when you didn’t believe in yourself? All the advice that I’ve given you over the years. Now, the reason I didn’t ask you is, because sadly, you’re still the same guy that I left over a year ago. Nothing’s changed. This arrogance of yours is a plague everywhere you go. And everywhere you go, all you do is create a nice long line of enemies, Ricky, and it’s all you’re doing.
Ricky Saints: Wow, you know what’s so weird about that, you don’t understand the fact that, if you want to be number one in NXT or WWE, you’re going to make some enemies.
Shawn Spears: Oh, I’ve heard the same thing throughout my career. Do you want to make friends or do you want to make money? That’s exactly my point with you. It’s exactly my point. Look at me, Ricky, I am a champion here in WWE, and I have three of my best friends, who I consider family, right beside me.
Ricky Saints: They are the reason why you have that championship. And I’m going to be reason that I take it from you. You get that?
Shawn Spears: So, you’re coming for this championship? And you’re sure you want to do that, even though you and I both damn well know what the outcome is going to be? Do not add me to that long list of enemies. You know what I am capable of. In case it doesn’t work out here, you know can always go back. Never mind, we both know that you’ve burnt every bridge, don’t we.
Ricky Saints: Well, I guess I better win, huh?
– We go to the locker room where Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe are poking fun at Ricky Saints decision making. Wes Lee says that, sooner or later, Ricky Saints will realize that he’s not the guy around here. Kale Dixon says that Ricky is pulling an Ethan Page, right now.
